Desde la perspectiva del Programa de Sanidad Agropecuaria, Calidad e Inocuidad de los Alimentos (SAIA), se abordan las preferencias del consumidor y su influencia en las prácticas de producción agropecuaria, con un enfoque de cadenas. De ahí la importancia de motivar su participación, pero modulando con objetividad y con evidencias sus posiciones, resulte esencial para poder crear y aprovechar oportunidades y, por tanto, incentivar el desarrollo de las cadenas de valor. From the perspective of the Agricultural Health, Quality and Food Safety Program (SAIA), consumer preferences and their influence on agricultural production practices are addressed, with a chain approach. It is understood the power of consumers, especially organized ones, growing and more influential. Hence the importance of motivating their participation, but modulating their positions objectively and with evidence, it is essential to be able to create and take advantage of opportunities and, therefore, encourage the development of value chains.
