The main activities carried out by the Institute in Antigua and Barbuda during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues of sustainable development, economic development, local development, rural agriculture, financing, governance and health and safety of food. Likewise, work was done on resilience to climate change, through the construction of a hydroponic unit, pest control was addressed, especially in the management of Giant African Snails (GAS) and the citrus aging disease. Finally, support was provided to highlight the production and marketing of local products. Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Antigua y Barbuda durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo en temas de desarrollo sostenible, desarrollo económico, desarrollo local, agricultura rural, financiamiento, gobernanza y sanidad e inocuidad de los alimentos. Asimismo, se trabajo en la resiliencia ante el cambio climático, por medio de la construcción de una unidad hidropónica, se atendió el control de plagas, especialmente en el manejo de Caracoles gigantes africanos (GAS) y de le enfermedad del envejecimiento de los cítricos. Finalmente, se brindo apoyo a resaltar la producción y comercialización de los productos locales.
