The paper which focuses on the period 1979 through 1984, aims to give a clear picture of the importance of the Agricultural Credit Bank (ACB) in the development of the agricultural sector. Up to now the Bank finances the agricultural sector with the options development aid through the Government of Suriname. 1979 was taken as a basic year because the suAden increase in financing from development aid funds via ACB establishing the Bank; investment policy; it contains secions on financial means; and agrarian credits and the role of ACB.
