This paper describes an IICA project that began in 1987 and concluded in 1993. It provides an overview of the experience gained in executing this project, and of its impacts on IICA and in the participating countries. It referes to the importance of the projects in strengthening exchanges of technology and information between Canada and Latin America and the Caribbean, and in creating and enhancing potential trade linkages in the region. (MIBA) Este documento describe un proyecto del IICA que se inició en 1987 y concluyó en 1993. Ofrece un panorama general de la experiencia adquirida en la ejecución de este proyecto y de sus impactos en el IICA y en los países participantes. Se refiere a la importancia de los proyectos para fortalecer los intercambios de tecnología e información entre Canadá y América Latina y el Caribe, y para crear y mejorar los vínculos comerciales potenciales en la región.
