This manual represents an attempt to establish a scheme for the certification of pest control operators as part of the efforts to ensure the proper management of pesticides in the member countries of the Coordinating Group of Pesticides Control Boards in the Caribbean. Persons who are not properly trained are applying pesticides. In the majority of cases, aplication of pesticides exposes the operator, other persons and the environment to the hazards associated with pesticide use.
