Esta nota tiene como objetivo dar a conocer los principales temas que se discutieron durante la Octogésima Reunión Ordinaria del Comité de Agricultura de la Organización Mundial del Comercio (OMC), en la cual el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) para esta ocasión no participó presencialmente como miembro observador, pero logró obtener los insumos más importantes de los temas abordados en dicha Reunión.
En este documento se da a conocer el estado actual (a junio de 2016) en que se encuentra el cumplimiento de los países de las Américas en materia de notificaciones agrícolas. A continuación, se detallan los principales temas tratados durante esta Reunión. This objective of this note is to report on the main topics discussed during the Eightieth Regular Meeting of the Committee on Agriculture of the World Trade Organization (WTO) , in which the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on
Agriculture (IICA) did not participate as an Observer, but managed nonetheless to gain access to the most significant inputs of the issues addressed at that meeting.
This document discloses the current state (as at June 2016) of compliance of countries in the Americas with agricultural notifications. The major topics addressed at the Meeting are outlined below.
