La finalidad de este trabajo fue evaluar rasgos radiculares y su conexión con rasgos aéreos, asociados a la relación suelo-agua-planta; así como las estrategias adoptadas por especies arbóreas para tolerar o evitar las variaciones climáticas cíclicas de sequía y precipitación. Se extrajeron muestras de suelo y raíz mediante el método directo según un gradiente ambiental, y considerando su posición bajo la copa de los árboles y profundidad del suelo en seis especies arbóreas: Albizia saman, Guazuma ulmifolia, Coccoloba caracasana, Tabebuia rosea, Crescentia alata y Enterolobium cyclocarpum en fincas ganaderas del departamento de Rivas - Nicaragua. |

The purpose of this study was to evaluate root traits and their connection to aerial traits associated with soil, water, and plants, as well as strategies adopted by tree species to tolerate or avoid climatic variations in cycles of drought and rain. Soil and root samples were extracted through direct methods over different gradients: environmental, underneath the tree crown, and two different soil depths of six tree species: Albizia saman, Guazuma ulmifolia, Coccoloba caracasana, Tabebuia rosea, Crescentia alata and Enterolobium cyclocarpum in cattle farms in the Rivas province of Nicaragua. |
