La "planificación de fincas" es una herramienta que favorece al diseño y manejo integral en las fincas y considera los factores externos que influyen en la toma de decisiones. Esta es una de las herramientas que se han desarrollado para mejorar las condiciones de las fincas en cuanto a rentabilidad y provisión de servicios ecosistémicos. Además, la rramienta "planificación de fincas" permite visualizar las condiciones actuales de los sistemas de producción y contrastarlas con las condiciones esperadas en el futuro. En el presente trabajo se elaboró planes de fincas en sistemas ganaderos de carne y de doble propósito con el fin de conocer el tipo de actividades planificadas por los productores, el flujo neto actual y el del establecimiento de la incorporación de alternativas silvopastoriles. Además se estimó el carbono almacenado en árboles en potreros, bosques ribereños, bosques secundarios y plantaciones forestales de las fincas. Las principales actividades a las que se orientaron ambos sistemas de producción fueron obras de infraestructura y alternativas para la alimentación del ganado. Esto se debe a la poca disponibilidad de pasturas durante la época seca y a los costos en que incurren debido a la adición de suplementos externos para la alimentación de los animales. En el análisis de flujo neto realizado para conocer la situación actual y futura con la implementación del plan de finca se obtuvo que en la finca de producción de carne el flujo actual presenta una rentabilidad de US$ 1 139,4, mientras que, al segundo año de implementación del banco de forraje la rentabilidad se incrementa a US$ 3 043,4. Por otra parte, en la finca doble propósito estos valores son de US$ 323,66 y US$ 1 567,45 respectivamente. Por otro lado, debido a que en los planes de finca no se propusieron cambios de uso de suelo, el cálculo de carbono actual y a cinco años se realizó con el mismo número de hectáreas. Los resultados muestran que el valor de carbono almacenado en el año 2013 para las veinte fincas es de 19 402,63 t y que para el 2018 este valor se incrementaría a 20 292,3 t/C; además el CO2e removido para el 2018 sería igual a 74 472,24 t. Se concluye que la herramienta de planificación de fincas es una estrategia que permite a los productores plantear una ruta para mejorar sus sistemas de producción mediante la visualización de las condiciones deseadas a futuro. Con esta información es posible estimar los costos que implican las actividades y su impacto en las ganancias o rentabilidad y además la contribución ambiental que dichas actividades generan ya que estos datos son de utilidad como línea base para futuros trabajos relacionados con el tema, el análisis de carbono a nivel de paisaje y el diseño de planes de finca con mayor potencial como sumideros de carbono. |

The "whole farm planning" is a tool that supports the design and integrates management on farms, and considers external factors that influence decision making. This is one of the tools that have been developed to improve the conditions of the farms in terms of profitability and ecosystem service's provision. Furthermore, the "whole farm planning" tool allows you to evaluate the current conditions of production systems and contrast them with the conditions expected in the future. In this thesis, the whole farm plans were developed in beef cattle systems and dual purpose cattle system to know the type of activities planned by the producers, the net current flow, and incorporation of silvopastoral alternatives. Furthermore, Carbon stored in trees in pastures, riparian forests, secondary forests and forest plantations farms were estimated. The main activities that both systems were oriented are infrastructure and livestock feed. This is due to the limited availability of pasture during the dry season and the costs incurred due to the addition of external for animal feed supplements. The net flow analysis for the current and future situation with the implementation of the plan was obtained on the grounds of the current meat production flow has a return of $ 1 139.4 , while the second year of implementation it increases to $ 3 043,4. Moreover, the dual purpose farm these values are US$ 323,66 and US$ 1 567,45 respectively.
