Farmers make management decisions at every step of the crop’s production process, from tilling land to prepare for planting, to managing a field after harvest, and every decision impacts sustainability. As the cost to produce our food rises, farmers are looking for new Best Management Practices both on-farm and off to help them manage and survive. Given the scale and impact of resource-intensive industrial agriculture, to meet our sustainability goals, significant changes in food production are needed. But what should those changes look like? |

Los agricultores toman decisiones de gestión en cada paso del proceso de producción del cultivo, desde labrar la tierra para prepararla para plantar, hasta gestionar un campo después de la cosecha, y cada decisión tiene un impacto en la sostenibilidad. A medida que aumenta el costo de producción de nuestros alimentos, los agricultores buscan nuevas mejores prácticas de gestión, tanto dentro como fuera de la explotación, que les ayuden a gestionar y sobrevivir. Dada la escala y el impacto de la agricultura industrial intensiva en recursos, para cumplir con nuestros objetivos de sostenibilidad, se necesitan cambios significativos en la producción de alimentos.
