Contiene material didáctico utilizado en el marco del Proyecto IICA-3NS3: Capacitación en Organización Social de la Producción para Promover el Desarrollo Empresarial Autogestionario de las Cooperativas de la Reforma Agraria en El Salvador, el cual está siendo ejecutado desde mediados de 1987. La información que se presenta en este manual, está dividida en tres partes. La primera, de carácter general, tiene como propósito ubicar al capacitando, de una manera sencilla, dentro del contexto organizacional de una cooperativa de producción, de manera que no pierda de vista el conjunto. La segunda parte describe en forma específica las funciones de los asociados de las cooperativas y de la asamblea general de las mismas de acuerdo con la letra y el espíritu de sus estatutos. La tercera parte contiene una serie de formatos o modelos que facilitarían los cursos de acción que deben desarrollar los asociados o la asamblea general de una cooperativa, para atender algunos problemas que surjan en el desempeño de sus funciones.
