The main activities carried out by the Institute in Guyana during 2016 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as risk management, water harvesting, economy, drought management, manuals, quality of life, resilience against climate change, pest and disease control. It also supported the control of human diseases, antimicrobial resistance, food control, safety through the Codex Alimentarius. Finally, work was carried out on the management of the control of the fruit fly and in the value chains of carambola, birds and small ruminants. |

Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Guyana durante el 2016, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como gestión de riesgos, captación de agua, economía, manejo de la sequía, manuales, calidad de vida, resiliencia contra el cambio climático, control de plagas y enfermedades. Asimismo, se apoyó en el control de enfermedades en humanos, en la resistencia a los antimicrobianos, control de alimentos, inocuidad por medio del Codex Alimentarius. Finalmente, se trabajó en el manejo del control de la mosca de la fruta y en las cadenas de valor de la carambola, las aves y los pequeños rumiantes. |
