A lo largo del contenido de este manual, la OIMA, presenta y analiza diferentes instrumentos y técnicas de análisis que permitirán apreciar y comprender de mejor manera la estructura, comportamiento y desempeño de los mercados; particularmente los agrícolas. Se muestran, además, los factores que determinan la oferta y la demanda de bienes, la formación de precios, especialmente los precios vinculados a productos agrícolas, así como los tipos de estructura de mercados que existen y sus principales implicaciones para la toma de decisiones. El lector también encontrará las fuentes que explican las variaciones de precios y conocerá las técnicas básicas para entender los conceptos de ciclo, tendencia, estacionalidad y volatilidad de toda serie de tiempo; así como su descomposición y análisis por separado, sus principales utilidades y/o aplicaciones prácticas. Finalmente, el usuario de este manual será capaz de reconocer y aprender algunas herramientas básicas para realizar análisis técnicos de precios, así como de comprender el origen e importancia del comercio bilateral y multilateral de productos agrícolas; habiendo estudiado, las principales variables que se deben tener en cuenta para entender mejor las relaciones de vinculación que tienen los precios de unos productos agrícolas con otros, así como también, el nivel de integración que existe entre diferentes mercados. |

Throughout this manual, the MIOA presents and analyzes different instruments and techniques of analysis that make it possible to better appreciate and understand the structure, behavior and operation of markets, particularly agricultural ones. It also considers the factors that determine the supply and demand for goods, the formation of prices, especially prices linked to agricultural products, and the types of market structure that exist and their main implications for decision-making. The reader will also find the sources that explain price variations and learn about the concepts of trend, cycle, seasonality and volatility that apply to all time series, the basic techniques used to decompose and analyze these components separately, and their principal uses and/or practical applications. Finally, users of this manual will be able to recognize and understand some basic tools for conducting technical analyses of prices, and gain a grasp of the origin and importance of bilateral and multilateral trade in agricultural products, having studied the main variables that have to be taken into account to better understand the links between the prices of agricultural products, as well as the level of integration of different markets. |

O leitor também encontrará as fontes que explicam as variações de preços e aprenderá sobre os conceitos de tendência, ciclo, sazonalidade e volatilidade que se aplicam a todas as séries temporais, as técnicas básicas usadas para decompor e analisar esses componentes separadamente e seus principais usos e / ou aplicações práticas.
