Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en El Salvador durante el 2018, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo en temas de sostenibilidad, apicultura, microriego, financiamiento, resiliencia contra el cambio climático, conservación de suelos, sanidad e inocuidad alimentaria, por medio del Codex Alimentarius y el control de plagas, como la roya del café. Asimismo, se trabajo en mejorar los estándares de calidad, las alianzas internacionales, la producción avícola, lechera, ecológica y las cadenas de frutas, granos básicos y hortalizas. Finalmente, se apoyo en la inclusión de los jóvenes en el sector y de fortalecer la autonomía en las mujeres del sector. |

The main activities carried out by the Institute in El Salvador during 2018 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as sustainability, apiculture, micro-irrigation, financing, resilience against climate change, soil conservation, health and food safety, through the Codex Alimentarius and pest control, such as coffee rust. Likewise, work was done to improve quality standards, international alliances, poultry, dairy, organic production, and the chains of fruit, basic grains and vegetables. Finally, support was given to the inclusion of young people in the sector and to strengthen the autonomy of women in the sector. |
