El presente estudio describe los resultados de la tercera fase de un proyecto de investigación y desarrollo. Dos actividades principales formaban la parte central de la investigación realizada en Jinotega. La primera, el análisis de los sistemas de finca, tiene los objetivos siguientes: descripción de las prácticas agronómicas principales; identificación del uso de la mano de obra y las limitantes; identificación de los factores que influyen en la producción; identificación de producción y productividad de las actividades principales de las fincas en total e identificación de dinero y la variación durante el año. La segunda actividad consistía en una prueba preliminar de innovaciones, con el objetivo de verificar la hipótesis de que ya existen algunos paquetes tecnológicos adaptados a la zona de trabajo, que son superiores en comparación a la tecnología del agricultor. Los resultados de estos dos componentes sirven para las recomendaciones respecto a las prioridades en la investigación y extensión agropecuaria |
