Summary, etc	El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar el desarrollo de las enfermedades y el comportamiento de las poblaciones de microorganismos sobre la filosfera y población de nemátodos en la rizosfera de los cafetos en una finca convencional y otra orgánica. Así como evaluar las interacciones entre los factores ambientales y el comportamiento de estas poblaciones de microorganismos. Las variables evaluadas incluyeron incidencia de las enfermedades foliares por estrato, población de nemátodos, población de microorganismos epífitos, temperatura, humedad relativa y precipitación diaria y análisis de fertilidad de los suelos. Cada sistema presentó un comportamiento singular en cada una de las enfermedades foliares. Mycena citricolor tuvo mayor incidencia en el cafetal orgánico y Hemileia vastatrix y Cercospora coffeicola en el cafetal convencional. Colletotrichum spp y Phoma costarricensis fueron menos importantes.

Summary, etc	The objective of this work was to evaluate the development of diseases, the behavior of microorganisms on the phyllosphere and nematode population in the rhizosphere of the coffee plants in fields under conventional and organic management. As well as to evaluate the interactions between the environmental factors and the behavior of these populations of microorganisms. The evaluated variables included foliar disease incidence by stratum, population of nematodes, population of epiphytic microorganisms, temperature, relative humidity and daily precipitation and analysis of soil fertility. Each system presented a singular behavior in each one of the foliar diseases. Mycena citricolor had higher incidence in the organic coffee plantation and Hemileia vastatrix and Cercospora coffeicola in the conventional coffee plantation. Colletotrichum spp and Phoma costarricensis were less important.
