Se estudió el efecto de la fertilización química nitrogenada en la contaminación de aguas superficiales y freáticas con nitratos en dos fincas que poseen sistemas de café con eucalipto en la zona de Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica. Se realizaron muestreos de agua en nacientes y quebradas en ambas fincas y en el bosque con el fin de evaluar el contenido de nitratos en la época seca, período pre-fertilización y post-fertilización y en época lluviosa. Como datos explicativos se obtuvieron muestras del perfil del suelo en una de las fincas en dos tratamientos: café a pleno sol y café con eucalipto y se obtuvieron las concentraciones de N-NO subíndice 3 y pH. Generalmente en estas fincas son aplicados cerca de 265 kg N ha superíndice menos 1 año superíndice menos 1, este año debido al bajo precio del café sólo han sido aplicados 120 kg N ha superíndice menos 1. En estos mismos tratamientos se colocaron lisímetros a profundidades de 30cm, 60cm y 120cm los cuales se muestrearon cada 10 días de junio a agosto. Se tomaron datos sobre la lluvia diaria en cada una de las fincas. La comparación de las concentraciones de N-NO subíndice 3 encontradas en el agua de las dos fincas y el bosque demostró que siguen una misma tendencia. |

The study was carried out in coffee plantations from two coffee farms and in forest. The aim of this study was to evaluate the chemical nitrogenade fertilization over phreatic and superficial water with nitrates ions in two coffee-eucalyptus deglupta system in Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica. Samples from rivulets and springs were collected from march to october to evaluate the content of nitrates durings dry season, period before and after fertilization, and also in the rainy season. As explicatory data samples of soil were collected from the soil profile in one of the two studied farms (Santa Fé), in two treatments: coffee at full sun light and coffee with eucalyptus-deglupta. The nitrate ions concentration and pH analysis were taken in each sample. Usually in these farms are applied 265 kh.N.ha superindex less 1 year superindex less 1 but because of the low coffee price this year it has been applied only 120 kh.N.ha superindex less 1. In these same sites, lysimeters were placed at 30cm, 60cm and 120cm deep, samples of the lixivial from this lysimeters were taken every 10 days from June to August. The daily rainfall was measured in both farms. The nitrates ions concentration data found in the water collected in the two farms and in the forest shows that it follows the same tendency. |
