Se estudió la relación entre las densidades de árboles dispersos en potreros y la composición y diversidad de plantas epífitas y aves en una zona húmeda y otra zona seca de la Sub-cuenca del Río Copan, Honduras. Los resultados revelaron que existen diferencias significativas entre la riqueza y diversidad de epífitas en la zona seca de la sub cuenca siendo los bosques latifoliado los que presentan mayor diversidad y riqueza seguido por los potreros de alta densidad y finalmente los potreros de baja densidad de árboles dispersos. Por otro lado no se encontraron diferencias en la zona húmeda sin embargo existe una tendencia en términos de abundancia y composición de encontrar mas incidencia en potreros con alta densidad de árboles dispersos y bosque latifoliado. Por otro lado las aves revelaron que a pesar de no haber encontrado diferencias significativas se pudo observar una tendencia en el incremento de especies en función del incremento de árboles. Finalmente se determinó una alta correlación entre la abundancia y riqueza de epífitas con la abundancia y diversidad de aves.

We studied the relation between the densities of dispersed trees in silvopastoril systems and the composition and diversity of epiphytes plants and birds in a humid zone and a dry zone of the Subsection of the Copan river watershade. The results revealed significant differences between the species richness and diversity of epiphytes in the dry zone being the natural forests those that present greater diversity and species richness followed by the high density of dispersed trees and finally the low density of dispersed trees. On the other hand even we didn't find differences in the humid zone, exist a tendency in terms of abundance and composition to find grader values in high density of dispersed trees and natural forest. The birds revealed that in spite of haven't found significant differences we observed a tendency of an increment in terms of species richness in function of the density of dispersed trees. Finally we found a high correlation between the abundance and species richness of epiphytes plants and abundance and species richness in birds.
