The main activities carried out by the Institute in Barbados during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening the collaboration of the public and private sectors, as well as the link between the agri-food sector and tourism, through workshops for the implementation of policies on agrotourism. Likewise, work was done on issues such as apiculture, climate change, gender equality in the agricultural sector and in livestock and livestock reproduction. Finally, work was done on financing and support for small producers.

Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Barbados durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo la colaboración del sector público y el privado, así como el vínculo entre el sector agroalimentario y el turismo, a través de talleres para la realización de políticas sobre el agroturismo. Así mismo, se trabajo en temas como la apicultura, el cambio climático, la igualdad de género en el sector agrícola y en ganadería y reproducción del ganado. Finalmente, se trabajo en financiamiento y en apoyo a los pequeños productores.
