Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Bolivia durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, promoviendo el desarrollo industrial, la bioeconomía, la agricultura familiar y la defensa comercial; así como el comercio y el consumo de alimentos locales, por medio del potenciamiento de las organizaciones económicas campesinas (OECA) y organizaciones económicas comunitarias (OECOM), frente al comercio internacional. En materia de tecnología se apoyo en la colocación de tecnologías eficientes y en biotecnología, se impulso el empleo de bioenergías, biofármacos, bioinsumos y biocosméticos. Así como, el apoyo y el fortalecimiento en bioseguridad. Finalmente, se difundió la aplicación de diversas tecnologías de energía renovable, impulsando la generación de instrumentos que fomenten la adaptación al cambio climático.

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Bolivia during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, promoting industrial development, the bioeconomy, family farming and commercial defense; as well as the trade and consumption of local foods, through the strengthening of peasant economic organizations (OECA) and community economic organizations (OECOM), compared to international trade. In terms of technology, support was given to the placement of efficient technologies and in biotechnology, the use of bioenergy, biopharmaceuticals, bioinputs and biocosmetics was promoted. As well as, support and strengthening in biosecurity. Finally, the application of various renewable energy technologies was disseminated, promoting the generation of instruments that promote adaptation to climate change.
