Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en El Salvador durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo las capacidades técnicas en materia de inocuidad de los alimentos, en sanidad de los productos y subproductos avícolas y en el tema de la bioeconomía en la agricultura. Además, se impulso la construcción de una hoja de ruta de acciones de mitigación en ganadería, así como la introducción de nueva tecnología satelital para la agricultura y la inclusión de mujeres y jóvenes rurales en procesos de desarrollo agrícola y empoderamiento. Finalmente, se capacito en el manejo de plagas del café, así como en temas de cambio climático, gestión de riesgos, tecnologías de producción, procesamiento del café, calidad del café, catación y barismo.

The main activities carried out by the Institute in El Salvador during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening technical capacities in the area of food safety, in the health of poultry products and by-products and in the topic of the bioeconomy in agriculture. In addition, the construction of a roadmap for livestock mitigation actions was promoted, as well as the introduction of new satellite technology for agriculture and the inclusion of rural women and youth in agricultural development and empowerment processes. Finally, he was trained in the management of coffee pests, as well as in climate change issues, risk management, production technologies, coffee processing, coffee quality, cupping and barismo.
