Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Venezuela durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo los sistemas de control de plagas, mediante alternativas sostenibles y los sistemas productivos agroalimentarios, mediante diseños para la recuperación de los mismos. Asimismo, se contribuyo en desarrollar temas como la agricultura familiar (AF), los sistemas sostenibles, las tecnologías digitales, la producción de papa y semillas. Se fortalecieron alianzas con organizaciones nacionales e internacionales, así como las capacidades de instituciones públicas y privadas en temas de gestión del conocimiento. Finalmente, se contribuyo en la adopción de la metodología del Sistema Intensivo de Cultivo de Arroz (SRI).

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Venezuela during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening pest control systems, through sustainable alternatives and agri-food production systems, through designs for their recovery. Likewise, it contributed to developing topics such as family farming (AF), sustainable systems, digital technologies, potato and seed production. Alliances with national and international organizations were strengthened, as well as the capacities of public and private institutions in knowledge management issues. Finally, it contributed to the adoption of the Intensive Rice Cultivation System (SRI) methodology.
