Agroforestry will be allowed so those farmers can continue to have a source of livelihood. Selective harvesting of trees was also suggested. To accomplish this, a loan package to be accessed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) was proposed. The Regional Development Council had approved the proposal after it was defended in several committees
