The main activities carried out by the Institute in Guyana during 2020 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, identifying issues in rural development, support for rural women, food security and agro-tourism. Likewise, among the achievements carried out, the progress of the different projects implemented, the extension activities in the dissemination of information with forums, training and research are recognized. The COVID-19 Special Fund for the Caribbean Region supported the project for the production, adoption and consumption of biofortified crops, as part of a strategy to address diseases in CARICOM.

Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Guyana durante el 2020, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, identificando temas en desarrollo rural, apoyo a la mujer rural, seguridad alimentaria y agroturismo. Asimismo entre los logros ejecutados se reconocen los avances de los diferentes proyectos implementados, las actividades de extensión en difusión de información con foros, capacitaciones e investigaciones. Del Fondo especial COVID-19 para la Región del Caribe apoyó el proyecto para la producción, adopción y consumo de biofortificados cultivos, como parte de una estrategia para abordar enfermedades en CARICOM.
