The publication highlights, inter alia, the importance of pimento as a crop in the development of selected hillside areas; and deliberate efforts recommended for establishing planted orchards using grafted plants, opposed to national orchards which are dependent largely om chance. This publication is welcomed and is offered to readers not as an end i itself but hopefully to provide a catalyst and a basis for the preparation of further studies and reports on the undoubtedly important crop.
