For hot peppers this means a fruit that is clean, mature, healthy and true to type. Any aspect of the management that is faulty will directly or indirectly hinder the successful achievement of this objective. In approaching the production of hot peppers, consideration must be given to the plant genetic constituent, biochemical and physiological processes, the environment, agrometeorological factors, other plants, pests and diseases, and the cultural practices that are important in modifying the environment to provide the plant with conditions favourable for optimum growth and development
