The africanized honey bee will find its way onto the Caribbean islands from South or North America via the Caribbean. Although a direct flight is unlikely, accidental and deliberate introductions should be of concern as colonization is likely to negatively affect the local apiculture industry unless the beekeepers and the community become educated regarding the honey bee's positive aspects. The paper presents a section of management and biological considerations, as well as some recommendations regarding honey production and pollination, the latter regarding more research. (MIBA)
