The paper refers to the establishment of legislation for the protection of the region for current and future generations and the region's beekeeping features. The beekeeping industry requires protection because of its importance to agro-forestry in the region and the survival of the human family. The paper also refers to existing legislation which does not take into consideration the social, economic and environmental importance of beekeeping. (MIBA)
