The paper refers to the nutritional insufficiency of resources in a colony of honeybees. Carbohydrates and proteins must be taken into consideration by the beekeeper when assessing a colony's nutritional status. A table is included with diets that have been tested by the U.S. Department of Agriculture bee laboratories in Tucson, Arizona; Madison, Wisconsin: and Beltsville, Maryland. (MIBA)
