Priority areas of activity include environmental education, protection of coastal and marine resources, and promotion and development of agro-forestry. The objectives are to increase tree planting on farms and the increase number of woodlots to be used for charcoal, medicinal products, and possibly the commercial harvesting of lumber; increase use of trees in livestock systems, as sources of fence; reforest sections of selected watersheds, among others.
