The Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) is a regional, non-governmental organization with its main offices in Saint Lucia and the Virgin Islands. Its mission is to strengthen peoples' capacity to manage resources which are critical to develoment. CANARI is not directly involved in apiculture, but contributes indirectly through its community forestry programmes. The Institute protects the existing wooded areas as it supports ecological, economic and other activities which are beneficial to the region. (MIBA)
