The document explains that the Workshop's major objectives were to: 1) Review technological and nontechnological constraints, including organisational and managerial issues, to vegetable production/marketing development in the OECS, and 2) Identify regional priority areas for technical and financial cooperation in the production and marketing selected vegetables which meet both current and prospective demands. The Workshop was aimed at achieving the following main results: 1) Improved understanding of political, organisational, managerial, technological and non-technological constraints to the development of vegetable production/marketing in the sub-region. 2) Joint recommendations to address the constraints. 3) Establishment of sustainable regional cooperation networks to facilitate the application of the recommendations.
