The paper refers that APHIN is being established at the Atlantic Veterinary College (A.V.C.). It will increase the availability of data on health and productivity in the swine, dairy and beef industries and will coordinate its delivery to producers, veterinarians, extension workers and others involved in livestock production. Continuously, presents a general structure of APHIN; herd health and productivity programs; abattoir data and central dabase that serves two major functions. The first is the incorporation of all data into a common computer environment so that they can be collated based on farm and animal identification. The second is the regular analysis and summarization of incoming data. (MIBA)
