Then, it refers to the races and cultivars of avocados, horticultural races, and the main commercial avocado cultivars in the Caribbean. In one table summarized the main different characteristics reported among three recognized avocado races: West Indian (also called Antillean), Guatemalan and Mexican. The other table summarized the most important characteristics of commercial avocado cultivars being growing in the Caribbean. (MIBA)
