The document is presented as follows: 1: Botany and general aspect of the papaya plant (taxonomy, the plant, the flowers and fuits). 2: It explains that most of the existing papaya types fit better nto the category of strains or lines that into varieties. Then, it refers to propagation and seed production, ecological factors, planting (land propagation, layout, and establishment). Another point refers to cultural practices: sexing, weed control, fertilizer application, irrigation, removal of lateral branchers, and pesticide spraying. Finally, harvesting and the main constraints to production related to pests and diseases. (MIBA)
