The studies were executed where soybean was previously grown, cultivar UFV-10 (Uberaba), with high and uniform SCN infestation. The genotypes were evaluated in pits, 0,50 m apart, with 5 repetitions. The cultivar Cristalina, used as a susceptibility reference, was always next to treated cultivars. Out of the 192 genotypes developed in Brazil, the cultivar IPAGRO was the only one classified as resistant and lineage PFBR87-4291 as moderately resistant. Most of the 33 genotypes brought in from United States showed negative reactions, inclusively those of the differential genotypes, allowing to conclude that race 3 is predominant in Nova Ponte(MG).
