Tipo de material: ArtículoArtículoEditor: Brasilia, DF (Brasil) 1993Descripción: p. 77-89.Tema(s): HETERODERA GLYCINES | HETERODERA GLYCINES AGRICULTURA | HETERODERA GLYCINES AGRICULTURA | NEMATODO DEL QUISTE DE LA SOJAResumen: In the United States, Heterodera glycines was first detected in 1954 in North Carolina. A federal quarantine was initiated in 1957 an lasted until 1972. Despite theses measures, the soybean cyst nematode rapidly disseminanted and is now present in 26 of the 29 soybean-producing states. Practically, it is very difficult to stop or confine movement from infested areas. Effective control in Brazil is very complex, due to the intense machinery movement from extreme points of infested areas between farms owned by the same owner. Monitoring is assured by periodic soil samping, followed by laboratory analysis for determining the presence, population level and race. (MV)
