From 1970 to 1980, the cultivated area multiplied by 84 and production by 106. During the past 14 years, world soybean production increased by an average of 2.11. Brazil participates with 19 of the world soybean production, with over 10 million hectareas cultivated and a production of over 20 million metric tons. (MV)
