Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Perú durante el 2016, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como sostenibilidad, uso de energías renovables, agricultura familiar, gestión del recurso hídrico, agroturismo, biodiversidad, tecnología, ganadería, resiliencia contra el cambio climático, sanidad e inocuidad alimentaria, por medio del Codex Alimentarius. Asimismo, se trabajó en sistemas de riego, en el manejo del recurso forestal, medidas fitosanitarias y en la mitigación del impacto de los gases efecto invernadero. Finamente, se fortalecieron las cadenas de valor de las hortalizas, fresa, flores, cacao y leche.

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Peru during 2016 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as sustainability, use of renewable energies, family farming, water resource management, agrotourism, biodiversity, technology, livestock, resilience against climate change, health and food safety, through the Codex Alimentarius. Likewise, work was done on irrigation systems, forest resource management, phytosanitary measures and mitigation of the impact of greenhouse gases. Finally, the value chains of vegetables, strawberries, flowers, cocoa and milk were strengthened.
