Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Chile durante el 2018, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo en temas de sostenibilidad, buenas prácticas agrícolas, agricultura familiar, resiliencia contra el cambio climático, gestión de riesgo y sanidad e inocuidad, por medio del Codex Alimentarius. Asimismo, se trabajo en el Sistema de Intensificación del Cultivo del Arroz, en aumentar las cadenas de valor de hortalizas y frutas. Finalmente, se apoyo a la inclusión de los jóvenes rurales en temas agrícolas y en fortalecer el liderazgo.

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Chile during 2018 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as sustainability, good agricultural practices, family farming, resilience against climate change, risk management and health and safety, through the Codex Alimentarius. Likewise, work was done on the Rice Cultivation Intensification System, to increase the value chains of vegetables and fruits. Finally, support was provided for the inclusion of rural youth in agricultural issues and in strengthening leadership.
