The main activities carried out by the Institute in the United States of America during 2018 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as public and private corporations, as well as international alliances and financing. Likewise, work was done on banking and agricultural financial systems, on policies and programs and knowledge management, in order to identify new and emerging issues in agriculture. Finally, support was given to the attention to the damage caused by the hurricanes in the Caribbean and the control of non-communicable diseases, such as chronic kidney disease.

Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Estados Unidos de América durante el 2018, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo en temas de cooperaciones públicas y privadas, así como alianzas internaciones y de financiamiento. Asimismo, se trabajo en banca y sistemas financieros agrícolas, en políticas y en programas y gestión del conocimiento, con el fin de identificar temas nuevos y emergentes en agricultura. Finalmente, se apoyo en la atención a los daños causados por los huracanes en el Caribe y en el control de enfermedades no transmisibles, como la enfermedad renal crónica.
