El mismo se llevó a cabo entre los meses de abril y octubre del 2003, en la cuenca del Canal de Panamá y la provincia de Chiriquí. El objetivo fue conocer las oportunidades que el sector forestal ofrece como fuente de empleo a las mujeres rurales y su disposición y limitantes para desempeñarse en las diferentes labores de campo asociadas con el sector forestal (LCASF).
