520 _aSe identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Panamá durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, contribuyendo en el desarrollo de buenas prácticas agronómicas, por medio de la reducción de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y la disminución de las cargas químicas. Asimismo, se fomento, la competitividad, la producción, la innovación tecnológica, la calidad, la sanidad e inocuidad de los alimentos, así como el uso de laboratorio, el manejo del recurso hídrico y se apoyo en el diseño de una política pública y privada destinada a fomentar la investigación, la producción y la capacitación en agricultura en ambiente controlado. Finalmente, se diseño y aprobó el Circuito del Café, el cuál cuenta con una figura jurídica, un manual de operaciones, mapeo y la caracterización de los atractivos, la estrategia financiera de sostenibilidad y un programa para el fomento y el desarrollo del circuito.
520 _aThe main activities carried out by the Institute in Panama during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, contributing to the development of good agronomic practices, through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the decrease of chemical loads. Likewise, competitiveness, production, technological innovation, quality, health and food safety, as well as the use of laboratories, management of water resources, production, training in agriculture in a controlled environment, were promoted. Was supported the design of a public and private policy aimed at promoting research. Finally, the Coffee Circuit was designed and approved, which has a legal figure, an operations manual, mapping and characterization of the attractions, the financial sustainability strategy and a program for the promotion and development of the circuit.
