520			_aEl propósito de esta colección es presentar el trabajo realizado por consultores, grupos e instituciones vinculadas, ahora o en el pasado, con Proyectos PROPLAN del Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA). El IICA es una institución de cooperación técnica. Es una preocupación permanente 18 por mejorar la calidad de su acción en apoyo a los países miembros solicitantes Por esta razón, como parte de su esfuerzo por mejorar su propio desempeño y habilidades, el Instituto está interesado en encontrar otras organizaciones que trabajen en campos similares, en para desarrollar lazos de cooperación. Así, el IICA mantiene diversos convenios con diferentes instituciones que trabajan en el área de planificación y gestión para el desarrollo. Estos convenios cubren acciones conjuntas de investigación y documentación y el intercambio de experiencias. Este documento fue escrito en 1980 específicamente como una contribución al Proyecto de Planificación y Análisis de Políticas Agrícolas en América Latina y el Caribe, PROPLAN / AP, por Lehman Pletcher y un grupo de investigadores de la Universidad Estatal de Baja California, Departamento de Economía, como Bibliografía comentada sobre políticas de estabilización de precios, comercio y mercados. El Proyecto PROPLAN / AP es financiado conjuntamente por el IICA y la Agencia para el Desarrollo Internacional.
