520			_aEl sector agropecuario peruano registró una tasa de crecimiento cercana al 5 por ciento, situación que no se había presentado al menos en los últimos veinte años. El propósito de este estudio es realizar un análisis de los factores que influenciaron este crecimiento sostenido del agro. En el capítulo primero se describe el crecimiento agropecuario en el volumen de producción, áreas, productividad, exportaciones e ingresos, con referencia a las características de su distribución regional. En el segundo, se concentra en el comportamiento de los factores de producción utilizados en el agro, como fertilizantes, semillas mejoradas, créditos y clima. Finalmente, en el capítulo tercero se describen y analizan las políticas macroeconómicas y sectoriales que han afectado las decisiones de los agentes económicos en el ámbito del sector agrario, haciendo diferencia de las distintas etapas en que se observa claros cambios en las políticas, como son los bienios 1981-82, 1984-85 y 1986-87.
