520			_aThe work of the Arizona State University School of Agribusiness and Environmental Resources (SABER) is presented together with that of its Center for Agribusiness Policy Studies FOODSAFE and IICA jointly propose to establish an Inter-American clearinghouse and database for information concerning government regulations and import restrictions relating to pesticide usage, pesticide residues, and food contaminants and related matters. The primary purpose of the program is to make this crucial information accessible to those Latin American firms, cooperatives, and other agribusiness enterprises attempting to increas exports of food products to the US, the EEC and other markets, and a major goal is to ensure that all information in the database will be available in Spanish as well as English. 520			_aSe presenta el trabajo de la Escuela de Agronegocios y Recursos Ambientales de la Universidad Estatal de Arizona (SABER) junto con el de su Centro de Estudios de Políticas Agroindustriales FOODSAFE y el IICA proponen conjuntamente establecer un centro de intercambio de información y una base de datos interamericanos para información sobre regulaciones gubernamentales y restricciones a la importación relacionados con el uso de plaguicidas, residuos de plaguicidas y contaminantes de alimentos y asuntos relacionados. El propósito principal del programa es hacer que esta información crucial sea accesible para aquellas empresas, cooperativas y otras empresas de agronegocios latinoamericanos que intentan aumentar las exportaciones de productos alimenticios a los EE. UU., La CEE y otros mercados, y una meta principal es asegurar que toda la información de la base de datos estará disponible tanto en español como en inglés.
