520			_aSe resumen los antecedentes, el marco global, un diagnóstico y los diferentes instrumentos de políticas, programas, proyectos y otras acciones dirigidas a la mujer, especialmente aquella productora de alimentos. Se identifica su papel protagónico, su situación actual, potencialidades y los factores que afectan su desempeño. Inicialmente se presenta el marco general de las diferentes prioridades de gobierno, destacando las acciones estratégicas en el campo económico y social. Se presenta el papel y características del sector agropecuario salvadoreño, en el que se resalta la importancia de los granos básicos, su distribución goegráfica, estructura de la producción y niveles de precios. Se sigue con la identificación de la mujer a nivel nacional y en especial, de aquélla del área rural, sus características socioeconómicas y participación en la producción y comercialización agropecuaria. Así mismo, se presentan las principales dificultades que afrontan la mujer del área rural y jefe de hogar. Finalmente, se describe y analiza de forma general el estado de la legislación en torno a la mujer. (MIBA)
