520			_aEl objetivo de esta nota es dar a conocer los principales temas discutidos durante la Septuagésima Novena Reunión Ordinaria del Comité de Agricultura de la Organización Mundial del Comercio (OMC), en la cual el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) participó como Miembro Observador. En esta ocasión, aparte de los temas que se discuten regularmente con respecto a las notificaciones en materia agrícola que los países deben cumplir ante la OMC, se destacan: el Ejercicio Anual de Vigilancia del Seguimiento de la Decisión de Marrakech sobre los Países en Desarrollo Importadores Netos de Productos Alimenticios (PDINPA), el cual consiste en que los países donantes y los miembros observadores (como el IICA) presenten información sobre sus acciones en ayuda alimentaria para los PDINPA; la consulta anual con respecto a la participación de los Miembros en el crecimiento normal del comercio mundial de productos agropecuarios (subvenciones a la exportación); y la aplicación de los resultados agrícolas de la Decisión de la Conferencia Ministerial de Nairobi, celebrada en diciembre de 2015.
520			_aThe objective of this note is to report on the main topics discussed during the Seventy-ninth Regular Meeting of the Committee on Agriculture of the World Trade Organization (WTO), in which the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) participated as an Observer. During this meeting, other than the topics that are discussed regularly with respect to notifications on agricultural issues that countries must provide to the WTO, the following issues were highlighted: the Annual Monitoring of the Follow-up to the Marrakech Decision on Net Food Importing Developing Countries (NFIDC), which consists in donor countries and observer members (such as IICA) presenting information on their activities relating to food aid for the NFIDCs; the annual consultation with respect to participation by Members in the normal growth of world trade in agricultural products (export subsidies); and the application of agricultural results of the Decision from the Nairobi Ministerial Conference, held in December 2015.
