520			_aEl Comité de Agricultura de la Organización Mundial del Comercio (OMC) celebró su septuagésima tercera reunión ordinaria en Ginebra, Suiza. El Programa de Agronegocios y Comercialización del Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) elaboró esta nota para informar a los interesados sobre los temas discutidos en dicha reunión. En la primera parte de la reunión se realizó un examen de las notificaciones en agricultura presentadas por diversos miembros ante la Secretaría de la OMC, en cumplimiento del principio de transparencia que rige a los miembros de la Organización. En la segunda parte se abordaron otros temas de competencia del Comité, como la aplicación de los compromisos de la Conferencia Ministerial de Bali y la actualización de la lista de 1995 de “exportadores importantes”.
520			_aThe Agriculture Committee of the World Trade Organization (WTO) held its seventy-third regular meeting in Geneva, Switzerland. The Agribusiness and Commercialization Program of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) has prepared this note to provide interested parties with information on the topics discussed at this meeting. During the first part of the meeting, notifications on agriculture presented by various members to the Secretariat of the WTO were examined, in compliance with the principle of transparency that governs the members of the Organization. In the second part of the meeting, other topics relating to the work of the Committee were addressed, including compliance with the commitments undertaken at the Bali Ministerial Conference and the updating of the 1995 list of “major exporters.”
